On the upper part I sanded all the chips and replaced them with new ones made from styrene. I replicated the pyro pattern. I also cut the lips of the canopy frames, they were not accurate to Red 4. |
The lower fuselage get the same treatment. |

Gluing the 2 halves was a though task but finally came out well. I used putty along the seam line and I sanded the nose to shape to get it flush with the fuselage. The nose case can be removed to have access to the front mounting point. |
II sanded it smooth to get an invisible seam line, as you can see I had to add some styrene to get it all right. Ten I added the last styrene chips after the sanding was complete. |
X-Wing "Red 4" - The fuselage
The fuselage of the X-Wings were made from 2 halves right and left resin halves for the pyros, upper resin and lower vacformed (from the latest news) ones for the hero models. I used the V3 Salzo X-Wing fuselage for this purpose which is composed of one upper and one lower resin part.
